Old lock master home. Locks were open 24/7 . Captain would ring a bell 🔔 even at night and the locks would open. Entering a lock with a fellow boater. We locked 8 times together Wednesday. 5 stories! That lock must have taken a long time to fill.
Yes, the double lock was interesting. It was a little less time than two separate locks, because we went from one lock right onto the second lock. It’s all fascinating! The end result was a five story lift in 20 – 30 minutes.
