Norfolk is busy with barges, Naval ships, tugs… We became seasoned by tugs and barges on the Mississippi River cruising the “Loop”, so we know better how to navigate around them. Biggest Naval presence in the nation here in Norfolk. 4 aircraft
Admired the Battleship Wisconsin, now a museum. Old time church turned into the Freemason Abbey Restaurant in 1986. We ate dinner there. Nice sunny day here in Norfolk. On to the Chesapeake tomorrow.
Left Coinjock Marina, linear docks this morning. Cruised along beautiful marsh grass. We had 10 bridges and one 2′ lock to navigate. This was our 1st bridge, a swinging bridge. Had to wait 15 min as bridge opened hr and half hr.
