Norfolk, VA to Deltaville, MD 60 mi. Mon. Oct 2.

Norfolk is busy with barges, Naval ships, tugs…

We became seasoned by tugs and barges on the Mississippi River cruising the “Loop”, so we know better how to navigate around them.

Biggest Naval presence in the nation here in Norfolk.

4 aircraft carriers.

Container ship and a Naval warship in the Norfolk channel. Busy!

A buddy Kadey-Krogen Trawler making her way to the Rendezvous like we are in Solomons, MD.

Escorted by dolphins approaching Deltaville, our next anchorage for the evening.

We took the dingy to the town dock. Walked around seeing 1860 circa homes…and beautiful pickleball courts!

Anchored in a great spot, Fisher Bay. On to Solomons, MD tomorrow, where the Rendez-vous starts on Thursday. Grateful to be this far. It’s been two weeks since we were last in Hilton Head, the start of this journey.

  1. Lots of Navy activity! Fun seeing a fellow Trawler!

Deltaville looks beautiful, and the homes are nicely restored!

    1. It was great to see historic homes, the Navy presence, the Marines on Camp Lejeune and fellow boaters. We had a great trip making it to our goal. Kadey-Krogen Rendez-vous.
