Waiting in Stuart, Florida for a weather window to cross to the Bahamas. We need winds and waves in the right parameters to have a comfortable crossing. It will take us 9 hours to make 65 miles at 7 mph.
Lovely morning at the marina.
We are staying at the marina until Monday, then cruise to W. Palm Beach for an easterly crossing on Tuesday. We’ll see how the weather holds as time approaches.
Blue Yonder comfortable at dock.
Stuart, Florida is known as the ‘Sailfish capital in the world’. The fastest fish in the sea can swim in excess of 68 mph.
Well done getting to Stuart! Looks like a big storm over Tampa!
The sailfish look aerodynamic!
Fun for us here in Stuart at the same marina we started our adventure with Blue Yonder March of 2021. We have visited with some of the boaters we remember from then who helped us with suggestions and tips to get us started.
Sailfish has quite the sail, too!
Good watching the storm. Hope you’re okay!
That’s a fast fish!!
Fastest fish in the sea…but not good to eat.
Glad to see where you are until Tuesday.
Here in Hiawassee the sun is out. Should be 76 today. Plan to feed my Encore Azaleas this weekend. With our sun-rain sun-rain we have had with freezing temperatures we have lost some of our plants.
Rhododendrons are in full bloom. Our yard is beautiful. I am enjoying your Blue Yonder trip. Also enjoy Keri and Kelsi comments.
Glad your garden is doing well even with the freezes. Thank you for following along. Enjoying Blue Yonder and Stuart, FL.
