Started off with big water on the Pamlico Sound then up the Alligator – Pungo River Canal for 20 miles.
Some sailboats, some trawlers, some fast boats…Did the sailboat make it under the 65 foot bridge?
We all had our fingers crossed. By two inches…yes.
At the end of the day, the last bridge, a swing bridge…waited with another trawler for the bridge to open for us.
Made it into the last marina before the dreaded Albemarle Sound…tomorrow’s challenge.
John getting our fender boards ready for the upcoming locks on the Dismal Swamp.
Grateful for another day.
Phew, the sailboat made it… Have you seen alligators?
What is the dreaded Albermarle Sound?! Safe boating!
No alligators, yet. Osprey, an eagle, turtles, snake, and bugs from yesterday’s marina are what we have seen the last few days.
