Here we are on the blue dot tonight, Belhaven, NC… in relation to Cape Hatteras and Norfolk. Today we sailed on big water, Pamlico Sound…which we were fortunate with following seas, S winds for 20 miles. We can see how if the winds were Northerly or NorthEasterly it would be uncomfortable. We then sailed into a small narrow channel of water to Belhaven. This little town, Belhaven, thrived at one time due to lumber, fishing and the railway in the 1890’s.
This home in Belhaven belonged to a lumber company owner and VP in the Norfolk/Southern Railroad.
So grateful for good weather, fun boating folks, beautiful America and a boat that keeps going…thanks to John’s mechanical ability.
Beautiful day and historic sights of Belhaven. Super how you’re following the S. seas. Dad is so handy!
Thanks, Kelsi.
