We left Beaufort, NC this morning with great weather, southerly winds, pushing current. We traveled along the route through a protected canal with very few boats.
We did see a few mishaps along the way.
Arrived in Oriental, NC, known as the ‘Sailing Capital of North Carolina. In the old days the railroads met up with the waterway to make this town golden.
Arrived at the marina and walked to the grocery store. Bought provisions and the grocery store, Piggly Wiggly drove us back to the marina, no charge.
Enjoyed a rum drink at the Tiki bar, played a little tiki toss, dinner at the local fish restaurant and so grateful for another safe day at sea.
Wow, a lot of interesting sights! What the mishaps!
Fun about the tiki toss! You’re a pro! 🙂
