Waited for the Marine bridge to open on the hour and half hour. Quiet day in the middle of nowhere. Smooth sailing for the most part.
Dredging machines are all over the Intracoastal Waterway. The shoaling and shallow water is a problem. We saw 4 rescue tow boats waiting for boats to call for a tow.
Arrived in Beaufort, NC and walked around to view the historic homes, 1768, 1771, 1851. Ate dinner at a waterfront restaurant.
Saw a shrimp boat arrive with its outriggers up to pass under the 65 foot bridge.
Sounds easier than reality. But can still work on it…
