Mon. May 17, 2021 Wahoo River to Isle of Hope, Savannah, GA

Wahoo

Today’s route was 41 miles. We passed shallow waters with tide changes and currents but we had sunny weather and little wind. GA Intracoastal twists and turns which makes following the red and green markers crucial. We have the app navionics to guide us. Anchored since marina was full. Took dingy to the dingy dock and enjoyed a walk around this historic town. Actually lots of fun to anchor.

  1. Beautiful south Georgia. Neat about the gate entrance: 1793. What does it lead to?
Sounds like you are having super weather!

  2. Johnny Mercer grew up in the Savannah area and spent his summers at his family’s summer home on a salt water creek near Isle of Hope. He wrote the lyrics to more than 1500 songs. One of the most well known is Moon River.
