Erie Canal map including Oswego Canal. Woke up to thousands of mayflies…messy…crazy! The bugs don’t bite…stain fiberglass and are everywhere!7 more Locks today. Making our turn north to Oswego, NY…the entrance port to Lake Ontario and Canada 🇨🇦 .One lock wall was blocked by a huge tree trunk. Luckily a barge was already working on it..Lock 3 on the Oswego Canal had such a strong side current upon exiting the lock…really had to maneuver carefully to prevent being slammed against the exiting wall. Scenic throughout the day. Enjoying the flybridge.Handling the lock lines on the descending lock.Free dock again for tonight. Restaurants and shopping walkable to town. Tomorrow’s last lock on the Oswego Canal. Then crossing Lake Ontario for Kingston, Ontario, Canada.
