Delaware Bay to Cape May, NJ – 61.7 miles June 7, 2022 7 hours

Cruised down the Delaware Bay with headwinds at 19 mph. Ride ’em cowboy! Crazy day! Oops.

No traffic on the Bay, but one freighter and one 59 foot motor vessel.
Left our anchorage at 5:45 AM for an early start.
Started to get rough and stayed that way all day.
Ship John Shoal Light to guide mariners in rough or dark waters. Thought it was a freighter from a distance. 🙂
Finally made it into Cape May inlet!
Coast Guard Training Base

Historic homes in Cape May, a town settled about 1812 by fishermen, known to have the most Victorian period homes in the country.

Grateful all went well…Staying three nights at a marina to explore the town even more, enjoy the good seafood, make a few repairs and rest.

I am back in Santa Rosa. We’ll have to call DD to get instructions on turning on the water heater!! He should be back here tomorrow afternoon.
