Overcast, 65 degrees. Sailboat region for a reason- open water and wind. Pamlico Sound, Neuse River, Pungo River… Wind started up within 30 minutes, splashing over Blue Yonder’s bow frequently. We stayed inside the pilothouse for the day. We have windshield wipers.
Passed by the Mayo Seafood Marina, seeing the working fishing vessels.
Made it to our marina for the night, Dowry Creek Marina. Onto the Albermarle Sound tomorrow.
Marina just opened their restaurant. Yummy 😋
Glad Blue Yonder is outfitted so well to keep you warm and dry!
The fried fish looks hot and fresh.
Tough weather! Good job handling the wind and waves!
The hot fish must have tasted delicious.
It has still been stormy with Tropical Storm Ophelia’s presence still felt with overcast skies, wind, waves and rain..
The hot fresh fish was delicious. Amazing food in these isolated, remote restaurants. The locals come to eat as well as the boaters.
