Flagler College, the old Ponce de Léon Hotel, built by Henry Flagler in 1885, the oil and railroad business man.
Castillo de San Marcos, the old Spanish fort built in 1672.
Spanish moss hanging on the trees is found everywhere in old Florida.
An old sign about the Sunshine State.
Dinner at Columbia, a Spanish restaurant since 1905…still in the same family for 120 years!
Off to Marineland Marina tomorrow with this pirate. 18 miles, 4 gallons of diesel fuel, a bridge and a couple of hours on the Intracoastal. Should be a pirates’ life for me.
Argh!! Yo ho ho, a pirate’s life for me!! Love it!
Gorgeous days too.
What did you order at Columbia?
We ordered sangria to drink and their paella Valenciano, their specialty. There are 7 restaurants in Florida.
Here we go on a new adventure.
Happy to follow each day.

Wow, about the legacy of the Columbia restaurant!
Yes, fun to read a little more about Florida and the history. The restaurant Columbia is very of their heritage, too.
John, you captured the pirate “argh” perfectly!
Yo ho!
Fun seeing so much of where I have never been. The history is greatly documented.
Really looking forward to your days ahead.
Thank you, Shirley.
