Jacksonville Beach to St. Augustine. 31 miles. Thurs. April 20, 2023

After a restful day in Jacksonville Beach we cruised southbound to St. Augustine, staying on a mooring ball for two nights.

Watching a women’s volleyball tournament and enjoying the beach in Jacksonville was a highlight.

Time for a happy hour margarita at Joe’s.

Making our way on the Intracoastal Waterway through Palm Valley.

Beautiful homes.

Dredging happening continuously.

St. Augustine in the distance.

Bridge of Lions opening for us and to our mooring just on the other side. Happy for another safe day.

Grateful.

  1. Great sail to St Augustine! Beautiful sites! How often does the Bridge of Lions open?
    Crabs for dinner, yum!

    1. Beautiful day on the Intracoastal Waterway. The Bridge of Lions opens on the half hour, upon request. So we radio the bridgemaster and let him know we request an opening on the half hour. That let’s him know our vessel is waiting.

  2. Beautiful pictures, weather and smiles! Enjoy.
Doesn’t Steve’s sister, Leslie’s son own and run Joe’s crab shack?
Glad you are having a good time enjoying everything around you!
