Quiet day here in Alton. Safe city for slaves and important town during the Underground Railroad. Homes from 1870’s. Streets and sidewalks made of brick. Rolling hills are much of the terrain Twelve of us Loopers visited Fast Eddie’s, a 400 seat bar with live bands daily, basic food menu, free popcorn and cash only.Alton in the days past.
