Calm with clear skies helped us get an early start in the day. Leaving Yorktown at 7 AM we were on our way north in the Chesapeake Bay toward Deltaville, VA, boat building capital of the Chesapeake.
In Yorktown, we found “Wild” and just had to buy her…so now we have a compulsory boat dog.
Anchored in a cove in Deltaville, we took the dingy to the marina for a trip to shore. Borrowed some loaner bikes from the marina so we could better explore the town.
Visited the museum which showcased Capt. John Smith’s exploration of the Chesapeake in 1608 and his boat.
The Oyster Industry was very prevalent in the area for many years.
Anchored peacefully in a cove for the night. Grateful.
Love anchored peacefully for the night.
And Grateful.
Some of this new travel can be exhausting.
Always prayer for you in your new adventure
with safety a primary asking for blessing.
