Challenge today was the “Whale Cut” . Narrow shallow channel into the Atlantic Ocean which the locals warn could “Rage” if conditions aren’t right with large dangerous swells.
Swells come over this cay at times. Scary.
Our conditions were 4 foot waves and 15 mph easterlies…Blue Yonder weighs 55,000 pounds…she is a big boat…not a worry today.
Passed a cargo vessel restocking the islands.
Anchored out, dingy down and off to visit the town.
Atlantic Ocean side. Another fun day.
Good job going through the Whale Cut! Sounds like scary storms!
Fun activity on shore!
It’s true, the Whale Cut can be treacherous with swells and high winds, but fortunately the weather is nice in May and we made it through.
Four foot waves, wow, glad that BY is a steady and strong gal.
Beautiful water and beach 🙂
It has been a blessing to have a hefty boat. The trade-off is Blue Yonder does not go fast, but she is seaworthy and steady. Just right for us.
I believe y’all researched your choice,
Blue Yonder. As we travel with you we
enjoy feeling safe. Warm blue water for swimming, oh my.
Your last eating out enjoying Prime Rib.
Glad it was a good choice.
Bye for now
Thanks, Shirley. It is nice to have a boat we trust. Had a good prime rib dinner at Green Turtle Resort Marina.
