Left Green Turtle Bay Marina in Grand Rivers, KY along the Cumberland River and Lake Barkley. Met a barge right away coming out of the Barkley Canal which connects the Cumberland River and the Tennessee River . The Barkley Canal links Lake Barkley (Cumberland River) with Kentucky Lake (Tennessee River). So pretty.The “Land between the Lakes” national recreation area lies here. Now we understand ” Kentucky Blue” – the Kentucky Lake is so blue. Enjoyed the peaceful day on the Tennessee River with the trees and the coves to the sides. Our marina for the night. Met fellow Loopers for dinner at the Paris Landing State Lodge, near the marina, …the same place the rendez-vous was held last week. Nice sunset to end the day.
